God does answer prayers
Well as you all know from my last blog, I have been having problems with my recent ex and telling him no when he calls. Well I really prayed about it and asked God to give me the courage and strength to tell him off and for him to stop calling me. Then doubting my own strength I gave God a P.S. I said if I can't be that strong right now, please just let him stop calling.
Well when I was working out last nite with MzThng (yes she is great forcing me to work out again, luv ya girl) I said "Oh no, it's Wed nite he's gonna call like he always does) after he DJ's at the club. She said that's when you turn your phone off, or change your number (which I refuse to resort to). Well I went to drama practice and was really worried that Q didn't call me when he got home from basketball practice. I kept calling and calling home but it was busy for like an hour. I was ticked, big time and by the time I got home I was ready to choke my child! Right when I walked in the door (he must have felt my anger radiating from outside) he said sorry I couldn't call, something is wrong with the phone. What do you mean? I said in disbelief. But low and behold there was no dial tone at all. I switched phones and tried different phone jacks in other rooms and nothing!
I just started laughing, my son thought I had lost it, I'm sure. I just said to myself "well I guess he CAN"T call now" and to make it even better if he did try to call at 3am it would be busy and probably freakout! Guess we'll never know! God sure does work fast...hee hee! But since I really do need a phone they are coming out to check it out today, bet they will find nothing wrong with it!
